Have you ever seen a bald eagle fly majestically across the sky, or a black-footed ferret climb up from its home in the ground? Both of these endangered animals have virtually disappeared from the wild, due to many different factors . We must do what we can to keep these animals from becoming extinct.
On the following pages (see region list at left) are partial listing of threatened or endangered animals of the earth, grouped according to their regions, and highlighted if they are being reported on by a participating school. Please feel free to choose one of these for your report or you may choose to report on one not listed. If so, please email us the name of the animal so we may add it to this list.
