Hey there! I personally think that Your pages are really neat, and will teach other children about the environment, and it's endangered animals, but one thing I'll say, is that you need to have a list of all of the endangered animals that you know of in an ordered list. I have to do a french project on an endangered animal, so I need a list of animals, and possibly in french hehe. Good work!

I believe that the animals have sufferd a fate that was probably ment for us. If we the people have the power to build dams that are 700 feet high, then we can certainly take time out of a pathetic wanna be day, and just maybe try to help out mother earth for a while. These animals have every right to be here. I appriciate what you are doing.

Joan and Rene wrote:
The term Endangered basically involves animals whose numbers are so low that they will become extinct if nothing is done very soon to try to save them. Threatened are animals whose existence is threatened in some way...and could become endangered if nothing is done to try to stop the threat. There are other terms to consider also...Vulnerable (great threat), Rare (animals found only in one area or animals whose numbers are spread very thinly over a large area) and others. We accept reports on any animal that is considered endangered or threatened or any of the other terms above. We hope that this helps. ;-)

Hello Jasmine,
We want to help you...and we will if we can, but you need to understand...Our main goal is to allow students who do research endangered animals to publish their reports on the web so that others may learn about those animals' plight. So, you see, we are hosting a project where students contribute information.
Now, we do not know what animal or animals you are researching so it is hard for us to know where to direct you to help you find information. You could try the National Wildlife Federation for starters. That website is: http://www.nwf.org/
Our website, TENAN, has a links page that lists many links to websites that can help you in your research. Look up at the top of this page...you will see several other pages listed (Information, Participants, Animals...etc.) Go to the one that says Links and click on it. That will take you to our links pages...click on the word links to the left. There you will see a long list of great websites. Also, you can go to your local forestry service to ask about endangered species in your area and how people can help them.
Now, when your research is done, if you are interested in publishing your report on our site, please email us at: animals@tip.nl  Or go to our Participants link at the top of the page and fill in the form there and send it in.
Good luck in your research,
Joan Goble and Rene de Vries
