I think that this site is a very awaring site, to me just by looking at all the types of endangered animals it makes me want to lend a hand in any organization I can. All the animals are so precious and beautiful and I don't see why alot of the time humans are the ones endangering these amazing creatures. To me where I am in Australia It seems like there is a whole world out there of animals Yet as I think that's no good Enough. The rapid changes in Community, Environment, Economy and colonization have changed the world so much and in such an abrupt way that now as people think they wish all the beautiful animals were still here, but that's one thing that can not happen If we just think before making decision about rainforests, jungles and bushes maybe we wont have so many endangered animals and it will be a much more beautiful thing to see !!!!!!

Hello to all our visitors...we have reports on this site, they are reports made by students like yourselves...but they are their work. You can read them, but if you use their work, you MUST site your sources!!! Do not forget that. These kids worked very hard to give accurate information, and they wanted to educate the people of the world. If you use their information, please site them and their work as a resource. Always site all of your resources, give credit where credit is due. Now, if you are reporting on an animal that is not on our site, perhaps you would like to include your research in this project. If so, you can join if you like. Email us at animals@tip.nl if you are interested in doing that. Good luck in your work! ---TENAN project cohosts

Endangered means in danger of becoming extinct. We feel that they are all important and all need help. What you can do is help to educate the general public by spreading the word...and that can be accomplished in many ways. One way is to research an animal of your choice (look at our list for some ideas on our Animals section) and then write a report...make sure your information is accurate. Then we can publish it for you on our site. Good luck with your work. Great websites to go to for information can be found on our links page: http://www.tenan.vuurwerk.nl/linkblad.htm Your local zoos or nature parks, reserves, etc. can help...along with the forestry or wildlife society. Hi Lori, The main reason we do this project is so students to have a place to publish their research and reports on endangered animals of the world so that other people can learn from them. If you want to see what kinds of things students should consider when doing their research, then look at the area at the top of TENAN which says Questions. There are buttons on the left there, with questions, ideas, and more. Please consider joining. :-) -TENAN cohosts

Yes, most populations of white-tailed deer are not endangered, infact they are flourishing in many places...however, according to the Washington Dept. of Fish and Wildlife the Columbian White-tailed Deer is still considered endangered..."in February 1996, islands in the Columbia River and the mainland deer refuge, which hold essential habitat for this species, experienced severe flooding. Half the Washington population of Columbian white-tailed deer was lost due to the floods. As state and federal biologists retrace steps toward recovery, they will address other threats to the herds. The deer have been impacted by the incursion of elk onto the refuge. Elk compete for food in the deer's traditional areas. Fawn survival also has been poor, as coyotes prey upon the young." ...and so we will keep the Columbian White-tailed Deer on our list. Thank you for your interest in our project. TENAN cohosts

Although I think the idea of listing endangered species for children is a wonderful idea, I also feel that the information listed here should be acurate. I found several species listed as endangered to be absolutely ridiculous. The North American Whitetail deer for instance is one species that is thriving, and are actually as numerous now as they were when the Europeans settled here. If your going to offer information to children, it should be acurate information. Thanks

Hello everyone! Thank you for the nice comments on our website. Many of you are asking for information about endangered animals here...well, most of what you are asking about we have reports on...just go to ANIMALS and search there. Some of what you are asking about we do not have reports on...that is where you can help us too. You can join TENAN and submit your reports when you are finished and then you will be sharing your information with others to help educate the world about endangered animals. If you want to join TENAN, go to http://www.tenan.vuurwerk.nl/partaddpart.htm  and fill in the form there. Good luck and we hope to hear from you soon!
