- In Turkey is a legendary felid: Anatolian Leopard (Panthera Pardus Tuliana)...This is a subspecies of leopard (Panthera Pardus). In 80s it was thought to be extinct but after recent studies done by Turkish environmentalists with the cooperation of WWF, some tracks of the leopards are found in Toros Mountains, south of Turkey and a leopard has been photographed in Eastern Black Sea Region's Kackar Mountains:
