Terrestrial, Inland Aquatic, Coastal Where is the animal's habitat? The Hawaiian Islands Animal's description: A flying crepuscular/nocturnal mammal. Generally small at 12 to 20 g and the color tends to be reddish with the frosted appearance not well marked, or absent. Food: Arthropods. Has been suspected of taking insects on the wing. Beetles are the most abundant. Reproduction: Breeding period is between September through December. What threatens the life of the animal?
