Snow Leopard

Have you ever seen a snow leopard? Its Latin name is uncia uncia and its size is four feet inches. Its color is gray with black spots and it eats wild goats and gazelles deer, wild pigs and gray marmots. Snow leopards habitat are mountains, and parts Asia. Its family group is felidae. Those are some things about my animal.

Here are some reasons why the snow leopard is endangered. People shoot the snow leopard for its fur. They also shoot them to protect the farm animals and other pets. Here are some reasons why we don't want this animal to become extinct. A photograph of a zoo animal shows an animal that has lost its spark. A rare photograph of a snow leopard in the wild shows an animal that is filled with vitality.

Here are some interesting things about my animal. It stays with its mother for two years. After the two years they start their own solitary lives. They have very large home areas. They have a tail that wraps all the way around their body and it has paws that grip the snow so they won't fall in the snow if its deep.
