A tiger looks like a huge orange and black striped cat. They have white underparts and are blue-eyed. White tigers have faint stripes. A tiger moves carefully and noiselessly. It lives in India and grasslands, swamps, and forest areas. A tiger’s prey is wild pigs, deer, antelopes, buffalo, elk, moose, bear and wild cow. A tiger’s predator is people. People kill tigers for hunting. People also kill tigers for fur coats. They are endangered because people are giving them fewer places to live. In China they use organs and bones for medicine. tigers live 25 years in zoos, but not in the wild.
