Chimpanzees
A chimpanzee likes to crack nuts. It was also sent into space! Chimps became endangered because their homes are being destroyed. A chimp belongs to the family of super-sized monkeys. A chimp’s habitat is the rain forest. Chimps eat bush pigs, young monkeys, and nuts. They are five feet tall, furry and weigh 95-120 pounds. Some chimps know sign language. Chimps are mammals. Their babies are four pounds at birth and ride on their mother’s back at six months. A chimp’s only enemy is the hunter. The chimp lives to be 60 years old. . |
