Chimpanzees #2
Did you know chimpanzees are very intelligent mammals called primates? They are furry and black with a white patch near their rump. Their faces are bare and their noses, hands, feet and ears are light flesh. They have a ridge of bone on their forehead. Chimpanzees climb, swing, walk and run. Chimpanzees live in western and central Africa. Some also live in warm rain forests, low forests and mountain forests. Chimpanzees eat monkeys, bush pigs and insects. Their predators are hunters and people who destroy the forests. They cannot survive without mans help. They live sixty years in the jungle. . |
