Cobras
Did you know that cobras’ venom can reduce pain in cancer patients? A cobra is a kind of a snake or reptile. that is in the elapid family. Did you know that the king cobra can grow 18 feet or longer? Other cobras can grow 5 or 6 feet. Cobras have smooth shiny skin. Cobras are yellowish, brown and black. Cobras live in the India forests. In India the cobras are called Naja Naja Naja. A cobra can swim, burrow, or slither. A king cobra has the most poisonous bite of any other snake. Cobras eat rats, eggs, other snakes, frogs, and birds. Did you know that cobras have 8 to 30 babies at a time? Baby cobras hatch by eggs. Cobras have twelve inch babies. When the babies are small they can have a lot of poison. The king cobra is the only snake to build his nest out of grass. A cobra is deaf but it can smell with his tongue. Cobras swallow things twice their size. Cobras are endangered because people kill them for their meat, because their meat cures diseases. |
