Iguanas

Did you know that the iguana’s tail is two times the size of their body?
Genus Anolis is the biggest of the iguanade family. Iguanas are reptiles. There are about 700 different kinds. You can find 40 of them in the United States of America.
Iguanas have a scaly body and a very long tail. Female iguanas are bigger than male iguanas.
they live in north, south and central America. They also live on the Caribbean islands near the country Ecuador. They can also be found in streams or trees.
Iguanas are good swimmers and excellent climbers. Some are vegetarians. They eat berries, fruit, tender leaves and insects. Others eat birds and small mammals.
Babies hatch from eggs in small holes that the females dig. The females leave before the babies hatch from their eggs.
Iguanas are endangered because men kill them and eat their eggs.
Dutch translation will be added soon.
