Koalas
Did you know after 1927 Australia protected it’s koalas? Some people think koalas are bears but did you know really they are marsupials? Koalas have soft, gray thick fur that is grayish and white trim. They also have a black, large nose. Also they have big furry ears. A koalas home is in Australia or South Australia. Koalas move by shuffling and shimmying. Some koalas live to be 20 years old! Koalas live to be that old by eating different plants but no lettuce and tomato. Since koalas are marsupials, they have babies just like us. It is very, very unlikely for a koala to have 2 babies. But, it is very unlikely that koalas have two children. Their communication is to claim their territory by scent. Poor koalas are endangered by people destroying parts of South Australia and Australia. |
Dutch translation will be added soon. |
