Komodo Dragon
Did you know that the komododragon can eat a sixty pound wild boar in seventeen minutes? A komododragon has a third eye to look to see if it’s light or dark. A komododragon is a Moniter lizard. It is in the reptile group. Komododragons’ babies eggs are four inches long. They live in trees so they would be safe. Komododragons’ moms lay twelve eggs. When they are born they are twelve to eighteen inches. They communicate by it’s tongue. A komododragon would eat any kind of animal, dead or alive. Prey includes mammals. They walk on all fours. It can run up to eleven miles per hour, and can jog up to six miles in an hour. They dig burrows that are four to five feet deep. They live on four islands in Indonesia. They live fifty years or more. Komomdodragons weigh three hundred pounds. They are ten feet long, and covered in tough reddish gray scaly skin. They also have yellow tongues. People destroyed komododragons habitat. This is why they are endangered. Another reason is people use komododragons as pets and food. |
