Do you know that leopards are the fastest animals in the world. they can swim and walk too. Its a mammal relative of the feline family like a house cat. The leopard is a beautiful spotted cat with whiskers and long skinny legs. The biggest leopards weigh up to 107 pounds. Most weigh up to 100 pounds. Some leopards live in Africa and Asia. They will not live where people live. Leopards eat animals like zebras, small antelopes, sheep, birds, snakes, baboons and other animals. Their predators are lions, tigers and wild dogs. In the 1960s and the 1970"s they were shot and poisoned for fur. Their habitat shrinks when people build on their land. In zoos they live for about 23 years. In wild life they live fewer years. |
