Did you know that in zoos lions can live up to 25 years old? Lions are in the feline family. Lions weigh 350 to 400 pounds and males have a mane. Lions are gold color. Females don’t have a mane. The lions move very slowly
but when they stalk they can run up to 25 mph. Lions live in plains more than any other animal. Lions travel in hot places.

Lionesses do most of the killing. Lions eat antelope, zebra, wildebeasts. Baby lions get killed by wild dogs, leopard, lions. Lions are endangered because of people. Lions are in wild life parks, where they live to be 25 years old. 50,000 lions live in Africa.
