Tigers

Did you know that tigers have a mark on their head called a “wang” mark?
Wang means “king” in Chinese. Tigers are a species of cat. Only the four greatr cats are able to roar. Tigers are the strongest and longest of all the great cats. They also have black stripes. Tigers can be white too. They live in forests in Indian and other Asian places. Tigers mostly eat anything because they are meat eaters. Mother tigers have about three or four babies at a time. When they are born they are three pounds. The cubs are also blind when they are born. All the time they are either eating or sleeping. Their enemies are poachers.
Forests are being cut down by people, too. Poachers kill tigers for their claws, skins or teeth. There are only about 5,000 left today. We are already helping by setting up special programs. You can help by not cutting down the forests.
Dutch translation will be added soon.
