Tigers
Tigers are the strongest cat in the world. Tigers are endangered because of poachers. Tigers are in the big cat family. They live in India and China. Tigers eat wild pig and other meat. They are 7 feet long and weigh 300-600 pounds. They have orange fur and can be over three feet tall. They may have black stripes or brown stripes, big teeth and big feet. Tigers communicate by roaring and growling. They are born from their mothers. Baby tigers are called cubs. Newborn cubs are blind. They weigh 3 pounds at birth. Mother tigers have three to four cubs. Cubs are with their mother six weeks. A tiger’s predator is man. Tigers live up to 25 years in zoos and in the wild they live not as long. |
