Did you know that there is a whale called the humpback whale? The humpback whale has the longest flippers of any whale in the ocean. The flippers are about 14 feet long. They live in the North Atlantic and the North Pacific. They eat small fish and tiny plants called plankton. New born humpback whales do not have any blubber. They are called calves. People are the enemies of the humpback whale. They kill for the bone and blubber. The humpback whales are slow swimmers. They like to swim close to the shore which made it easy to hunt them. There are 10,000 humpback whales left in the world. No one is allowed to kill them. You can not kill them anymore.	Dutch translation will be added soon.
