Common Name : Golden Shouldered Parrot

Scientific Name : Psephotus chrysopterygius

Habitat :
Lives in tropical savannah woodlands of north-east Queensland.

Diet :
Eats the seeds of various species of native grasses.

Size :
It is about 260 mm long.

Danger :

Its food plants are being progressively replaced by exotic grasses (for cattle) which are not suitable for parrots to eat. It gets trapped for the bird trade.
