Common Name : Western Partridge Pigeon

Scientific Name : Petrophassa smithii blaauwi

Habitat :
Near waterholes in tropical savannah woodland with good layers of leaf litter in the north-west of Western Australia.

Diet :
Eats mainly the seeds of grasses and some herbs that grow close to waterholes.

Size :
It is around 250mm.

Danger :

Cattle and feral pigs use the waterholes, trample down the grass, eating the vegetation and polluting the water.
