Western Swamp Tortoise

Common Name : Western Swamp Tortoise

Scientific Name : Pseudemydura umbrina

Habitat :
Found in the swamps south-western Western Australia near Bullsbrook.

Diet :
Eats insect lavae, tadpoles, worms and shrimps.

Size :
It reaches a maximum size of around 150mm.

Danger :

Foxes ate most of these tortoises. Only about 20 remain. Droughts dry up the swamps so the tortoises die.
