The Sonoran Tiger Salamander

The Sonoran Tiger Salamander

The Sonoran Tiger Salamander is an endangered amphibian that lives in Arizona. It is black with gray stripes and gets to be 8 to 12 inches long. It lives in only a few ponds in the San Rafael Valley between the Huachuca and Patagonia Mountains. It is endangered because ponds dry up or are destroyed by floods.
