Panda cub meets the press

The zoo’s giant panda cub made her first appearance in front of a good-sized crowd Tuesday, as part of keeper’s attempts to get her ready for public viewing. Members of the media as well as zoo staff and researchers were invited to watch Hua Mei stroll around her enclosure. Zoo visitors may get a chance to see the cub within the next few weeks.
