What is the common name of the animal? 
The White Bengal Tiger

What is the scientific name?
Panthera tigris 

What is this animal's status?
It is rare.

What family does it belong to?
It is a mammal that belongs to the cat family.

What is the animal's habitat- described please: 
even though, this kind of tiger is rarely found in the wild, it is sometimes found in the jungle.

Where is this animal's habitat? 
It is found in far- eastern Asia.

Describe animal's appearance? 
Most adult males weigh 420 pounds and are 9 feet, including a 3 foot tail. They also have ice- blue eyes, a pink nose and creamy white fur with chocolate stripes. 

What is the number known to exist of your animal? 
There are more than 100.

What is the average lifespan of your animal? 
They can live up to 20 years.

What is the primary and secondary food of your animal?
Most are large mammals such as deer, antelope, wild cattle, and wild pigs. Sometimes some baby elephants and rhinoceroses and usually water baffalo.

Information on reproduction. 
A tigress usually bears her first cubs when she is 3 ˝ to 4 years old. She carries the young in her for about 3 ˝ months. The tigress gives birth to from 1 to 6 cubs, though usually 2 or 3. Newborns are helpless and usually weigh about 2 to 3 pounds. 

What threatens the life of this animal?
When their prey is scarce, they may attack people and the person may kill them. And sometimes they can go a week without eating. The only other threat can be from other attacks of the cat family to protect their area.

If your animal migrates, what is the migration route?
None

Are there any unusual or little known facts about your animal? 
Tigers body parts are used for Chinese medicine and exotic recipes. All subspecies of the tiger have been declared endangered.

Are there any songs, poems or stories about your animal? 
Yes there is a poem and a song called "Eye of the Tiger."

What has been done to protect your animal? 
People have made organizations to save the tigers from becoming extinct in places all around the world. They take wonderful care of them and help them survive in a place almost like the wilderness.

Are there any current issues or controversies happening in your area concerning your animal? 
No, I have looked in the papers about the tiger and there is not much. There is really nothing about tigers in my area because the only place that has information about the tigers is at the zoo.
