Wyoming Toad

The Wyoming Toad

The Wyoming toad (Bufo Hemiophrys Baxteri) is endangered. It is an amphibian. The Wyoming toad lives in lakes and ponds in the Laramie Basin, Albany County in Wyoming. It has warts. The grownups eat bugs and the babies eat algae. They can lay between 1000-2000 eggs. We are not sure why it is endangered. It could be from insecticides, agriculture, predators, or climate changes. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department are captive breeding them.
