endangered animals

Manatees are animals that are endangered because people kill them. Some people just do it because they want to but some people do it because they want something from them before they do get extinct. They may want to stuff them and put them in a museum.

A lot of people say that you shouldn’t kill any animal except for ticks but some people don’t understand that. Boats in the ocean just hit some manatees because they run into them. Sometimes the manatees run into the boats. Some manatees get sick and people try to help them. They lift them up in big nets and put them on a big ship. Sometimes they bring them in to an aquarium.

Endangered means that the manatees are close to getting extinct. Extinct means that there are none of them left and that they are all dead. In the ocean, some manatees don’t get hurt or sick that easily. The ships or something just scratches them.

Manatees are white animals with flippers and blubber. They live in the water and the babies stay close to their moms and dads just like people. Manatees get milk from their moms.

There are lots of marine biologists that work at aquariums and say we shouldn’t hurt the manatees and THEY ARE RIGHT!!!!!!!
