The Red Cockaded Woodpecker

| The Red Cockaded Woodpecker lives in the pine forests in the south and from Florida to New Jersey. They live in Hoke County and surrounding areas. The woodpecker has fluffy white cheeks and a 15-inch wingspan. It has black and white stripes on its back. It is about 7 inches long and has a red spot on both sides of its back. It eats beetles, ants, roaches, fruits, berries, and caterpillars. The woodpecker plays a role in the life of the southern pine forest, so people need to help them live. | Dutch will be translated asap |
