Gecko

One endangered animal is the gecko. The gecko lives in every content except Antarctica. It also lives in the tropical and subtropical region, and is a member of the reptile family.

The size of the gecko varies to 25cm to10in. The gecko eats crickets, king worms, jumbo meal worms, wax worms, butter worms, small mice, and cockroaches. The gecko lays eggs in pairs. Gecko lays their eggs on a leaf branch. There eggs are layed about 30 days apart. The eggs hatch in about 3 months.

Most geckos have five enemies. Their enemies are the snake, owl, scorpions, centipedes, and small mammals.

Hey, do you know how old the oldest gecko is? It is 28 years old! They shed their skin every three weeks. Their tails break of very easy. Their tails will grow back but they wont be as cool as the old one. Most geckos are seen at night. All most all geckos live 20-25 years old. The gecko makes a loud clicking. 

There are only about 35,000 geckos left so people should work together to save the geckos.
