Guizhou Snub Nosed Monkeys

This report is on the Guizhou Snub Nosed monkeys. Another name for it is the Pygthiorx Brelichi. It lives in trees in steep mountains of South Asia or China. It makes its home from occuby mixed.

The male Guizhou Snub Nosed monkeys weigh about 14 kg. The female weighs about 8 kg. Its tail is 64-72 cm. Its head and body is about 68-76 cm. Their fur is dark brown and black sometimes gray. 

The enemies are people. People kill them for many different things, yet. Mostly for their fur. Other reasons are for meat and medicine. 

Its protection is IUCN the center. It can’t really protect itself. For babies, the mother protects it. 

There are 6 different species. 5 are endangered. They’ve been endangered since 1994. They live in packs of 3-10 with at least one single male. One adaptation is when the season changes their food changes. 


After reading this report, people should be more careful with these animals. There are only about 500 left in the world.
