Yellow Monitor
| The Yellow Monitor belongs to the reptile family . It lives in Indonesia which is near the equator. Its scientific name is Varanus Flaverscens. The yellow monitor has a forked shaped tongue. It has a long neck and long legs. It weights 300 pounds. Its tail is thick at the base and it is very long. They eat pigs ,reptiles , birds, insects ,small mammals ,and goats. They lay 7 to 35 leathery shelled eggs. The babies hide up in trees because they are scared of other animals. Also, they eat their babies. For its protection, it has sharp claws and teeth and a tail for whipping. They have no enemies. They have thick scaled skin for hot weather. They are very long and big. They can eat some of us. The biggest is 10 feet tall. They are dragons. They are cool. It is important for you to remember about this animal because there are only about 30 left and they endangered. . |
