The Dutch seals live in De Waddensea and along the coast of our province Zeeland. De Waddensea is a protected sea, which is situated between the main land and the islands of Holland and Germany (up to Denmark). This sea is a tidal marsh, which means that with eb-tide the sandbanks are dry, and with flood-tide the sea is streaming over the sandbanks.
Although the Waddensea is a protected area, pollution is a dangerous threat for the animals who lives in this area.
